1. ContractThe contract is between Interludes and the Guest and is governed by English law.
2. PaymentUnless otherwise agreed, on making the reservation one week’s charges are required to confirm the booking, payment of the balance and deposit to be made at least 8 weeks before the arrival day. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks before the arrival day the total charges, including deposit, are required at the time of booking.
Payment may be made by
- most debit or credit cards (security code, address and post/zip code required)
- bank transfer in £ sterling net of bank charges
- cheque – if the booking is made more than 21 days before the day of arrival
Cash payments exceeding £500 sterling are not accepted.
Non-payment of the balance by the date due shall constitute the Guest’s cancellation of the booking and any payment made will be forfeited.
3. Period of OccupationThe contract is made when Interludes confirms the booking and the Guest has paid all due charges. Bookings will be confirmed in writing and will include the dates of arrival and departure. Guests wishing to extend their stay are requested to give Interludes at least 7 days notice unless otherwise agreed and subject to the property or an alternative being available. The exact accommodation cannot always be guaranteed prior to the day of arrival.
The property may be occupied between 16.00 hours on the day of arrival and 10.00 hours on the day of departure by no more than the maximum number of people stipulated in the Interludes brochure/website or notified to Interludes before the contract is made. Interludes has the right to refuse entry to all members of the Guest’s party if this condition is breached.
Interludes will make keys available on the day of arrival between 9am and 6pm.
A confirmed booking for which a Guest has paid all due charges gives the Guest permission to occupy the property, in accordance with these terms and conditions, for the period for which the charges have been paid. Under no circumstances does this create a tenancy of any description.
4. ChargesAll occupancy charges are inclusive except the cost of telephone calls which will be deducted from the deposit together with the cost of any additional charges and the cost of any damage/loss incurred during the Guest’s stay which will be notified to the guest within 7 days of the departure day. The balance of the deposit will be refunded subject to paragraph 5.
5. CancellationAll cancellations of a confirmed booking, for whatever reason, must be confirmed in writing immediately. A cancellation charge of £150 will be deducted from the Guest’s payment. Interludes will refund the balance of the payment only if and to the extent that the property can be otherwise occupied. Guests are recommended to insure against cancellation.
6. Use of the PropertyGuests agree that the property will be used in a proper and responsible manner and that they will:
- take all reasonable care of the property, its fixtures and fittings and will leave them on the departure day in the same clean and tidy condition as on the day of arrival;

8. ParkingGuests agree to park their cars(s) in the spaces specifically designated for the property in which they are staying. Cars are parked at the owner’s risk. Guests are recommended to ensure that their vehicles are adequately insured.
9. Damage and Other LossThe cost of replacement, repair and loss caused by the guest’s unreasonable use of the property is their responsibility and will be deducted from the deposit. Any additional cleaning will be charged at the rate of £15 per hour.
10. Breach of ConditionsIf a Guest is in breach of any of Interludes’ terms and conditions and has been requested to leave, the right to occupy ceases automatically. No refund will be made of any payments made.
11. Keys and Security DevicesTwo sets of keys will be provided for each property, to be returned with all security devices to an Interludes representative on the day of departure. For any keys or security devices not returned a charge of £50 will be deducted from the deposit.
If any Guest forgets the keys for the property and requires assistance in gaining entry to the property a charge of £50 will be deducted from the deposit.
12. Data and InternetComplimentary internet connection is provided in all properties. Whilst Interludes will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that this facility is readily available, Interludes accepts no responsibility for the inability to connect to the internet for whatever reason including problems caused by the Guest’s hardware or software.
